The Atlantic drive offers the visitor spectacular scenery. The Atlantic drive will bring you past Granuailes castle, which was once a watchtower for the famous 16th century pirate queen of Connaught. This route passes the spectacular Cathedral Rocks: water-carved cliffs that somewhat resemble a Gothic cathedral rising from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
